Confidentiality
By default, SYSDOP LLC treats everything you share with us as confidential. Here is what that means.
Last updated: 21 June 2026
This Confidentiality Agreement (the “Agreement”) sets out how SYSDOP LLC (“SYSDOP”, “the Company”, “we”, “us”) protects the information you entrust to us. By default, and without any separate document needing to be signed, we treat the information shared in the course of providing our services as confidential. It applies to every customer and prospective customer and complements our Privacy Policy. SYSDOP LLC is a company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States, with its registered office at Rock Springs, WY 82901.
1. Our commitment
Trust is the foundation of system administration. We routinely hold the keys to our customers’ infrastructure, so we treat confidentiality as a default duty, not an optional extra. Everything you share with us in connection with our services is handled as confidential, whether or not it is marked as such and whether or not a formal non-disclosure agreement (NDA) has been signed.
2. What is confidential information
Confidential information includes, without limitation, any non-public information disclosed to us or that we access while providing services, such as:
- Credentials and access: passwords, SSH and API keys, certificates, tokens and any other authentication material.
- Infrastructure details: server configurations, network topology, IP plans, architecture and security measures.
- Data and content: databases, files, source code, logs, backups and customer or end-user data stored or processed on your systems.
- Business information: contracts, pricing, projects, plans and any commercial or technical know-how.
- Personal data, which we also handle under our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.
3. Our obligations
We agree to: keep your confidential information secret; use it only to provide, maintain and support the services you contracted, or as you instruct; not disclose it to third parties except as described in this Agreement; and apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it against unauthorized access, loss or misuse.
4. Need-to-know access
Access to your confidential information is limited to the SYSDOP personnel and trusted subcontractors who need it to deliver the service. They are bound by confidentiality obligations at least as protective as those in this Agreement, and we remain responsible for their compliance.
5. Mutual confidentiality
Confidentiality runs both ways. Where we share our own non-public information with you (for example, internal procedures, tooling or security details), you agree to keep it confidential on the same terms.
6. What is not confidential
These obligations do not apply to information that: is or becomes public through no fault of ours; was already lawfully known to the receiving party without a duty of confidence; is independently developed without using the confidential information; or is lawfully received from a third party free to disclose it.
7. Disclosure required by law
We may disclose confidential information where we are legally compelled to do so by a valid order or applicable law. Where we are permitted, we will notify you in advance so you can seek to limit or challenge the disclosure, and we will disclose only what is strictly required.
8. Security and data protection
The safeguards we use to protect confidential information, and how we handle personal data, are described in our Privacy Policy. This Agreement reinforces that protection at the contractual level for all the information involved in our work together.
9. Duration and survival
Our confidentiality duties apply from the moment you first share information with us and survive the end of our relationship. We retain confidential information only as long as needed to provide the service or to comply with the law, after which it is securely deleted or returned on request, subject to our backup and legal-retention cycles.
10. Requesting a signed NDA
This Agreement already protects you by default. If your organization requires a separate, countersigned non-disclosure agreement, we are happy to review and sign a reasonable one. Just reach out through our contact form and we will arrange it.
11. Changes to this agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision, and changes are posted on this page.
